The National Erasmus+ Office in Tajikistan organized an Erasmus+ Info Day at the Tajik State Institute of Fine Arts and Design, under the theme “Erasmus+ in Tajikistan: Internationalization and Development of Higher Education.”
The event brought together university management, academic staff, and students to introduce the Erasmus+ Programme and its opportunities in the fields of higher education, academic mobility, and international cooperation.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. Mohbonu Nakhatzoda, PhD, National Erasmus+ Coordinator in Tajikistan. She provided a comprehensive overview of the Erasmus+ Programme, its key actions, and available opportunities, with particular focus on:
- International Credit Mobility (ICM);
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM);
- Jean Monnet Activities.
In addition, Akhror Jafarov, member of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) team, delivered a presentation on Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE). He shared successful examples of Erasmus+ CBHE projects implemented by higher education institutions in Tajikistan and highlighted the importance of international partnerships for institutional development.
It is noteworthy that the Tajik State Institute of Fine Arts and Design has not previously participated in the Erasmus+ Programme, and this Info Day represented the first official introduction of the institution to Erasmus+ opportunities.
The discussions demonstrated strong interest from both academic staff and students, and expressed hope that the institution will actively engage in Erasmus+ activities in the future.
The National Erasmus+ Office in Tajikistan reaffirmed its full readiness to provide guidance, support, and cooperation in fostering international partnerships and advancing the internationalization of higher education in the country.
