The conference was organized within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “European Integration and Case for Central Asia” (EICCA), implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The discussions focused on the outcomes of the EU–Central Asia Summit held in Samarkand in April 2025, and explored how education, research, and policy dialogue can enhance strategic cooperation between the two regions.
Key topics addressed during the event included:
- EU foreign policy and integration processes
- Regional cooperation and connectivity
- Academic mobility and capacity building
- Human capital development, education, and soft power
Special emphasis was placed on the role of education and scientific cooperation as tools of academic diplomacy. Participants highlighted the importance of fostering interregional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and joint efforts in addressing shared challenges related to sustainable development, inclusive education, and digital transformation.

The conference served as a valuable platform for strengthening partnerships and opening new avenues for cooperation between the European Union and the countries of Central Asia in the fields of higher education and research.
