NEO Tajikistan at the Republican Professional Skills Competition “Malakai Kasbi”

On 27 May 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office in Tajikistan took part in a Career Fair organized by the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the support of the European Union. The fair was held as part of the award ceremony for the winners of the national “Malakai Kasbī” (Professional Skills) competition and took place at Sadriddin Ayni Park in Dushanbe.

Promoting International Opportunities for Vocational Students

At the dedicated Erasmus+ information booth, the NEO team, together with programme volunteers, introduced students from vocational education institutions to international opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, including:

  • participation in academic mobility projects;
  • professional internships in European countries;
  • involvement in youth and educational initiatives supported by the EU.

High-Level Guests in Attendance

The event was honored by the presence of senior officials, including:

  • Dilrabo Mansuri – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan;
  • Farhod Rahimi – Chairperson of the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education;
  • Raimundas Karoblis – Head of Delegation and Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Tajikistan;
    as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Agency for Education Quality Supervision, and other relevant institutions.

Celebrating Excellence in Skills

A highlight of the day was the recognition of 60 student finalists of the “Malakai Kasbī” competition, who were awarded for their achievements, dedication, and outstanding performance in various vocational disciplines.

Supporting Vocational Education and Youth Empowerment

The Open Days of the VET system served as a dynamic platform to introduce students to future-oriented professions and highlight the role of international programmes such as Erasmus+ in expanding access to quality education and training.
The European Union remains committed to supporting skills development and vocational education reform in Tajikistan, fostering youth inclusion in the global education and labor market.
